YOSHIKI HISHINUMA

VR ARTIST, FASHION DESIGNER

Born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.

After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, he joined Issey Miyake and became independent.

He participated in the Milano Collection in 1988 and the Paris Collection from 1991.

He was awarded the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix in 1995 for his development of advanced fibers and design work.

Past archives are currently housed at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, Netherlands, the Museum of Arts and Design, NY, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, L.A.

In 2009, he and Mr. Yoshitaka Amano held the exhibition “EVE” at Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto and the Paris Opera Garnier, using the Rapid Manufacturing method, an advance in 3D printing.

2020 Started a project to create video works with objects that visualize “wind,” creating “wind meditation” in 2021 and “wind figure” in 2022.

2023 Begins production of a VR film created with 3DCG.

2025 3DCG VR film “KIKI” will be released.
